Put Your Garden to Bed
This class will cover fall clean-up for your garden and flower beds before winter. Learn the amount of fertilizer and water they will need for winter’s hibernation. After finishing this informative evening, you can rest well and know your yard will have a peaceful winter’s nap.

Basic Haircutting
In this hands-on class you will learn how to give a basic haircut with scissors; clippers will be covered if the class wants to learn this technique. You need to bring models so you can practice your skills. Please contact Linda at 388-7408 at least two weeks before the class, if you need to order good quality scissors and a cape for approximately $55 and for a list of other supplies. The money you invest in this class will save you many times over.

Geocaching
Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices. The basic idea is to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, outdoors and then share your experiences online. Geocaching is enjoyed by people from all age groups, with a strong sense of community and support for the environment. Bring your GPS if you have one, a flashlight and warm clothing. This class will give you creative ideas on fall planting for a beautiful yard in the spring – fall preparation, planning, bulbs, flowering trees and shrubs. Hans has a long career in the greenhouse and gardening business.

Intro to Country Dance
This introduction focuses on good basic patterns, foot placement, dance floor etiquette and beat recognition. Easy dance moves with emphasis on having FUN. Sessions will cover popular dances such as 2-step, country swing, country cha cha. Leather soled shoes recommended. Must register in pairs.

Basic Cake Decorating
Join Cheryl Blakeley who has over 25 years of cake decorating experience and learn to decorate cakes like a pro! You'll love learning the "Tricks of the trade" so be ready for some stimulating education. You will begin with the basics of making and coloring icing, preparing the cakes, and filling and using decorating bags. The piping gel pattern transfer technique will be taught and you will learn to decorate with leaves, grass, borders, stars, drop flowers, mums and some writing.
To achieve the results you are striving for you will need some basic cake decorating tools. These may be purchased the first night of the class, or from Michaels in Lethbridge, or you may already have some of them. The basic kit costs $39.99. The kit includes many of the items you will need for this class and for years of trimming, garnishing, and embellishing your own cakes. You will receive a supply list when you register.
