Fitness 50+

Fitness 50+ focuses on strength, flexibility, coordination, relaxation and breathing techniques. Low impact aerobic exercises are used to strengthen the cardiovascular system. Moderate exercise promotes health and well-being. Please consult with your physician before remaining INACTIVE!

Sitting Fit

This fitness class is designed to be done while you are seated. It will help you to improve your coordination, flexibility and muscle strength. It will keep you more independent. Offered in two locations.

Location 1:   Raymond Meadowlark Manor

Time:             10:00 – 11:00 a.m.

 

Location 2: Ridgeview Lodge

T.O.P.S. (Take Off Pounds Sensibly)

This is a weight loss support group, which is not gender specific, and all ages are welcome.

Date:              Every Monday

Fee:                $30/year to join and $1/week thereafter.

Introduction to 50’s Jive and the Two Step

Dancing is fun and it is excellent exercise. This class introduces an emphasis on good basics, including beat recognition, dance floor etiquette and having fun on the dance floor. Leather soled shoes recommended. Must register in pairs.

Cardio Boot Camp

If you are looking to sweat, work hard and see results then you are looking for Cardio Boot Camp. This class is a combination of timed cardio intervals (floor aerobics, kickboxing, circuit etc.) and strength training exercises. This class is designed for results and provides you with a variety of exercises guaranteed to combat boredom. Come work hard and have fun and see results. Wear comfortable clothing. Offered in 2 locations:

Pilates 

Pilates focuses on the core postural muscles, which help keep the body balanced, and which are essential to providing support for the spine. In particular, Pilates exercises teach awareness of breath and alignment of the spine, and aim to strengthen the deep torso muscles. Students will notice improvements in abdominal toning, core strength and flexibility. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a mat.
