Roles of Community Learning Network & Literacy Alberta
The Community Learning Network exists to provide a support system for Community Adult Learning Councils and Council Staff in Alberta. The CLN works with the Community Programs Branch of Alberta Advanced Education and Technology to help address lifelong learning needs in the community through the development and support of Community Adult Learning Councils in the province of Alberta.
The CLN, your Council's helping hand, provides assistance to organizations in the Community Adult Learning Program by:
- Promoting, facilitating and providing professional development opportunities
- Providing support and resources to councils, their staff and board members
- Promoting communication and cooperation between Councils, Adult Learning Council Staff, Alberta Advanced
- Education and Technology and the public
- Recognizing member's contributions
